       Seth Robinson accepted into Honors College at WKU!


From left to right:  Angela Robinson, Seth Robinson, Principal Paul Terrell and Bill Robinson.   Seth plans to study Business Marketing/Management at WKU.  The Honors College at WKU is home to 1,300 scholars with an average ACT/SAT composite of 30/1340.

  Tyus Lewis receives Adversity Award!

Only a select few athletes from all over Kentucky are chosen  to receive this award. Tyus played eight football games in his playing career.  Tyus will be honored at a dinner and award ceremony on April 24th at Papa Johns Stadium in Louisville.  Congatulations to Tyus for all his hard work and dedication. 


This group of WCHS ladies attended the Young Women’s LEAD Conference in Louisville KY Tuesday March 18th and represented our County with pride.  Washington County’s Gifted and Talented (Carolyn Ray) and Washington County FRYSC (Barbara Pettus & Debbie McIntosh) worked as collaborative partners in organizing the program.



Guest speaker Jimmie Jenkins of Highland Sod Farm in Eliabethtown spoke with Megan Clark's agriculture class on February 19, 2014.  He explained his business and brought various pictures to show the students equipment he uses for his sod business.  He spoke with students about production and harvesting of their sod farm operation.

 Washington County High School now has an online art gallery where community members can view and make comments on student's artwork so that the school earns points. Shirts, mugs, key chains and other items are available to purchase through the site with 20% of all proceeds coming back to the school in the form of art supplies for the program.
