Testing Kickoff a Hit!

Students are "Shooting for a Million" this week during testing.

Kickoff activities last week began on Wednesday with students dressing for College Coach Potato Day, Thursday students dressed for success, and on Friday they wore their favorite college t-shirts.  Friday, the 8th grade students in Mrs. Wilson's class organized a WCMS Pride Scholarship Fair where students created games or made some sweet treats for students to purchase.  All proceeds from this fair are going to our First annual WCMS Pride Scholarship where one or more lucky 8th graders will be awarded a laptop, Ipad, Kindle for use in High School in hopes that this device will assist them in becoming College and Career Ready.  The students also viewed a movie that the students in Mrs. Wilson's RTI class created to the song, "Gonna Be a Billionaire".  Ms. Gwendolyn Campbell created the story line, directed, edited, and produced this movie for the school to view.  Good job Gwendolyn.  Students also received t-shirts that read "Million Dollar Chick" or "Million Dollar Guy" to wear throughout testing to remind them of our testing theme.

Goodluck students during your week of testing!
