BIRTH TO FIVE

 

BASIC TRAINING: From Cradle to Commander (formerly known as Cradle School) is a free, school readiness program for parents and their children, ages birth to 5.  The two-hour monthly program offers developmentally appropriate enrichment activities, parent skill building lessons, and socialization.

We believe that the parent/child interaction is crucial to a child's development.

Sessions

DEVELOPMENTAL MILESTONES

Parents learn fun and creative ways to interact with their child and teach developmental skills in the following areas:

  • Reading and Math
  • Social/Emotional and Adaptive Behavior
  • Speech
  • Motor
  • School Readiness

PARENT SKILL-BUILDING

Guest speakers and program staff will provide information and resources in such areas as

  • Nutrition and Wellness
  • Managing Behaviors
  • Car Seat Safety
  • Technology and Internet Safety
  • Community/School Resources

  • September-March (closed in December)
  • 10:00-12:00 (lunch will be served)
  • WCES-2nd Friday of each month
  • NWES-4th Friday of each month
